The Kyriotes had found himself only half enjoying the beauty of it all. His mind was cluttered with the most recent attempt to play Robin Hood. He would have succeeded in the little adventure if that woman hadn?t gotten in the way and ruined everything. Concern for the now deceased woman and the others who died as a result of her foolishness did not bother the Kyriotes as much as it should have. It was a failed job. The Kyriotes would simply move onto the next thing. He sniffed and stood leaning against the doorjamb of his TARDIS he had named, Messiah. She was the only being in the universe he really trusted. He stared at the suns, one brilliantly red and the other a warm yellow. In the glow of the setting suns the empty fields of dried wheat grass seemed to shine with the same tinge of yellow as the first sun. He took in a deep breath and stepped back inside Messiah shutting the doors. The Kyriotes leaned over the console gently touching the controls with absolute care, as if a single firm touch would bruise her. After a moment of smiling to himself he flicked a tiny purple switch. Classical music started up and echoed through the control room. He smiled broadly at the sound and hummed along for a moment before walking around to the other side of the console. He pressed a few buttons and threw up the level that sent the Messiah hurtling through time and space again. He steadied himself moving briskly around the Messiah?s console steering his beloved ship toward their next destination. ?We?ll try again my love.? he said above the music. ?Just a small speed bump. There are plenty of worlds out there that need fixing, and the person they need is me. They?ll start calling for us! Just wait!? he turned a knob, flipped another switch and as a result the control room dimmed for a second but his Messiah picked up speed. He fell faster through the vortex. The rush was something the Kyriotes would never get used to. He didn?t want to be used to it. That sickly feeling of free falling and twirling through the universe was the most exciting thing. Letting out a boisterous laugh, almost boarding on crazy, the Kyriotes ran around to the other side of the console skidding on the crystal floor but catching him on one of the levers saving him from a fall. He laughed harder like a child. He wasn?t sure where they were going but wherever and whenever it was the Kyriotes was sure there would be an opportunity waiting for him. After a few more minutes Messiah landed and the Kyriotes went to scanner to check where he had ended up. His smile fell. ?Earth, 2011?? He scoffed but he hadn?t been to Earth in a while so he figured why not stay. The Kyriotes may have disliked humans, but he had to admit their food wasn?t half bad neither was there music. Besides humans were the most messed up race in the universe, there were bound to be things for the Kyriotes to fix. He grabbed his black peacoat and stepped outside. He was on a construction site and Messiah had taken the disguise of a portable toilet. The Kyriotes looked dully back at it after locking the door. He looked less than amused. ?Charming.? Already bored of Earth by the time he got to the nearest park, the Kyriotes leaned against a tree and watched a group of children playing on the swings and jungle gym. He sighed heavily his eyes now surveying the rest of his surroundings. ?I managed to land in the single most boring town on planet Earth.? Wasn?t Earth steeped in blood from constant wars? The Kyriotes mused, he bit a pesky cuticle on his left thumb locking his eyes with a couple sitting on a blanket sprawled out on the grass. Not a single care in the world. The Kyriotes kept a placid expression on his face. Humans were good at ignoring the problems that existed on their planet. The human race was selfish only caring about others when it was convenient. The Kyriotes smirked slightly when a voice inside of his head told him that he had just described himself. But he wasn?t human, he was a Time Lord he was better then them. Always would be. 761, expanded from sample rp,GIVE ME A SIGN |
