birth name~ Zetazalea Briallen, Rhodantaurael
nicknames~ Rhode, Subject Thirteen, Thirteen
age && date of birth~ her body is frozen at eighteen, but she's really over 3,000
gender~ female
species~ And here's where things get complicated.
HUMAN~
The basis for Rhode's body was a human called Zetazalea Briallen. Zetazalea was the bridge for each of the different genetics to join to and manipulate, and so her ultimate appearance is human.
VIALAKHEN~ Invulnerability
The Vialakhen are a race of near invulnerable beings, only able to die if its heart is forcibly taken from its body and kept away for a long period of time. However, this secret is kept very closely guarded, and no one but the Vialakhen themselves know it. It can withstand being blown apart, as it will simply reform, and it will regrow any body part it has lost, other than its heart. It was this quality of their biology that was the reason for including Vialakhen DNA into Rhode's testing.
BA'ENA~ Fire
The Ba'ena are a race of fiery beings with complete control over fire. They were included in Rhode's testing for this reason.
DIO'ELI~ Water
The Dio'eli are a race of spirit beings that only have form when they surround their spiritual selves with water. As such, they have complete control over water, whether it's water vapor in the air or frozen into ice.
SALAEM~ Earth
The Salaem are a type of golem, made from the same rock and earth they manipulate. Not much is known about them, as they tend to live their lives alone and without much contact with people.
KRI'ALEI~ Air
A race of gaseous beings, they don't exactly have a true form, and thusly they are impervious to any sort of physical attack. However, their mastery of the air is parallel to none, from manipulation of the air currents to the strengthening of wind to lift a person up.
DIA'ARO~ Lightning
Another elemental race, the Dia'aro live in the clouds of every planet, and they are the cause of lightning strikes and thunderclouds.
AETEULEN~ Blood
The Aeteulen are known for their inherent manipulation of blood, be it theirs or another's, inside or outside the body. Another sought after trait is that they can heal themselves with anyone's blood, though the easiest and least painful way is with their own blood.
YSTHI'E~ Time
The Ysthi'e are one of the most sought after races in the universe, strictly for their unaided manipulation of any timestream other than their own, be it an individual's or a planet's. They can jump through time as well, disappearing from one point in time and appearing in another. They can accelerate, compress, slow, or even completely erase a timestream without any help. Pretty cool, huh?
RORAI'ADEN~ Space
The Rorai'aden are notorious for their jumping capabilities, and no, that doesn't mean that they bounce in one place. They jump through space, effectively teleporting from one place to another. Only known to them, they had the ability to create and maintain their own pocket dimension, quite useful in times of stress or when they just needed time alone.
RYTONAE~ Animation
The Rytonae have the power of animating just about anything, from inanimate objects to corpses to technology. They can also take over parts of a conscious being's body, but not the entirety of it, and if that being is powerful enough, they can shake off the Rytonae's influence.
LAERE~ Materialization
The Laere achieve everything they need through materialization, be it a form of their psychic energy, like a temporary set of stairs, or a wall, or something solid, which takes so much more effort.
FAENA~ Psychic ability
The Faena communicate only through telepathy, move themselves with telekinesis, and interact with their environment only through their immense psychic power.
CAI'ARIN~ Energy manipulation
The Cai'arin feed off of the different types of energy, storing it within their bodies and using it to display their dominance over others. The one who can create the best show with how much energy they have stored within their bodies are chosen as the best mates. Energy manipulation was part of the desired abilities for Rhode, and so Cai'arin DNA was included into her creation.
sexuality~ she doesn't know enough about herself/the world to make a decision
occupation~ living weapon/alien genetic experiment
face claim~ Saoirse Ronan
fandom~ Doctor Who
canon / original~ original
hair color~ very much blond
eye color~ electric blue
height~ 5'7"
weight~ 130 lbs
distinctive features~ the scars covering her body
general appearance~
Rhode is a rather beautiful girl with quite a bit to hide behind her pretty face. Said features are generally stuck into an emotionless stare, as it's served her well in her use as a weapon. She has scars covering most of her body, as parts of her genetic structure tell her body to heal one way, while others tell it to heal another way. Any wound she receives, be it large or small, will end up in a scar, and the worst one she has is the one from when her heart had been ripped from her body in an attempt to kill her. Luckily, she managed to get it back before her time limit was up, as the ones who'd taken it marveled at the fact that she was still alive. The clothes she chooses are for comfort and ease of movement, not style, though she'll dress up if it will help her to get to a target.
likes~
When things go right, generally Rhode is praised rather than punished, and so she generally likes having missions go well. If things don't, then... well, I'll explain that later on.
02. SEEING HAPPY PEOPLE~
Happy people are really one of Rhode's fascinations. She doesn't really understand what it is to be happy or sad, and so when she sees people that truly enjoy what they're doing, she finds it interesting and enlightening. It's one of the reasons she hangs out after she completes a mission; otherwise she wouldn't be able to see anyone but the target, and that's never fun.
03. SIGHTSEEING~
In order to see the happy people, Rhode has to go sightseeing a bit and pretend that she's a tourist instead of an assassin. Of course, it's really not that hard, seeing as how she really has no idea of how the outer world works, and so, at the best of times, she sounds like a really stupid, ignorant tourist. Mission accomplished!
04. SETTING THINGS RIGHT~
If she wrongs someone on her own, as in she isn't ordered to, she'll do just about anything she feels that she needs to in order to repay them. Also, if someone is wronged by someone else when she's around, she'll do her best to be the hero and make everything okay again. She really isn't good with just sitting back and letting people do things on their own if they can't handle it.
05. GOOD, KIND PEOPLE~
When she sees kind people doing kind things, Rhode's heart swells with joy. It reaffirms her belief that everyone is good. However, not everyone is good, and she's been hurt enough to realize that. However, her world is a world of fantasy and ignorance, and it's one she chooses to live in rather than face the harsh reality.[/ul]
dislikes~
Just because she was created to serve them and do what they wanted of her doesn't mean that she has to like them. She only grudgingly does what they tell her to, mainly because if they find out that she's starting to have a will and mind of her own, she'll be decommissioned and disposed of. She's too fond of life at this point to let them do that to her.
02. AN UNSUCCESSFUL MISSION~
When the target gets away, or there's too much collateral damage for the mission to be called successful, she is locked up for days on end with no food, no water, and most of all, no light. Her solitary confinement cell is simply a cube with a door, and it leaves her in complete darkness. She doesn't move an inch when she's stuck in there; she'll simply sit on the floor and stay completely motionless.
03. TORTURE~
However, when she's outright disobeyed her masters, her punishment is more severe. For a highly advanced civilization, their methods of torture are strangely medieval, and Rhode is forced to stand motionless and let herself be carved open by hot knives. Only after she's made it clear enough that she won't disobey orders again will they stop and put her in the box for a week, as usual.
04. BAD PEOPLE~
When someone she trusts turns out to be bad, Rhode has a bit of a hard time accepting it. In her world, everyone is good and no one is bad or evil, and so she can trust everyone without ever getting hurt. However, this isn't the case, and so bad people make Rhode sad.
05. GUNS~
Again, bad people make Rhode sad. Bad people carry guns. Guns hurt people. Hurting people is bad. Guns are bad. And so Rhode doesn't like guns.[/ul]
habits~
She tends to stare at people for no reason, which kind of creeps people out. In fact, she's actually studying them, which again, creeps them out. She doesn't know that it creeps them out, though, and so she keeps on doing it.
02. SPEAKING WITHOUT THINKING~
She says what she thinks without thinking about whether or not it would be a good idea, which ends up either making people mad or confusing them, especially when she has confusing thought processes. Or, it just ends up getting her into trouble.
03. GETTING HERSELF IN TROUBLE~
She's actually quite good at this one, and so she gets punished a lot. However, it's really not her fault, as nobody's ever taught her how to behave normally in public. So when someone asks her something, she tells them the answer. When they talk to her, she'll tell them what she's thinking, even though it might not be the best idea.
04. GETTING INVOLVED~
As much as she tries to be a good person, sometimes she'll just end up getting involved in the wrong stuff. Whether it's gangs or a conspiracy, somehow she'll always end up in it. She doesn't really mind it, seeing as how in her imaginary world, everyone is good and no one is evil, but she'll get punished badly whenever she does, and so she tries to avoid things like that.
05. HELPING PEOPLE~
She really wants to help people and be a good person, but sometimes her deeds fall short of what she wants them to be. Sometimes, when she's helping someone, nothing goes to plan, and the person ends up hurt or dies, and others blame her. She doesn't blame them, as she feels like she should have done more to help.[/ul]
strengths~
Her powers are rather extensive, as you can see from the above listing of the species used to create her, and she uses them easily and without hesitation, believing that it's normal to have powers. She knows about all of them and can use them to nearly their fullest extent, though some of them don't get as much use as others.
02. IMMORTALITY~
Because of the Vialakhen's invulnerability, Rhode doesn't age. As such, she's over three thousand years old, with her body frozen at twenty three. She can't die, not by aging, at least, and it takes a damn lot to actually get her into a position where she's vulnerable.
03. WILLPOWER~
When Rhode wants to do something, she does it. If she believes that something is wrong, and if she's free to choose what she wants to do without the risk of getting hurt or punished for her actions, she'll choose the right option. She only obeys her "masters" when they tell her to kill someone because three thousand years of conditioning tells her that she has to, and she'll die if she doesn't.
04. PHYSICAL ABILITY~
Rhode is agile, swift, and strong, even though her frail little girl's body doesn't show it sometimes. And even though she should be dead and in the ground over thirty times by now, she's still alive and kicking, and she's just hit her prime. Don't go underestimating her just because she looks like a little girl.
05. LOGIC~
Rhode is very logical with the way she goes about things. From the way she assassinates her targets to the way she walks around a city, there's no impulsiveness to anything that she does. Occasionally, when she can't plan something that far ahead, she'll just wing it, but she never really does much of that.[/ul]
weaknesses~
This is more of a physical weakness than any mental weakness, as the Vialakhen are nearly immortal, except for the fact that when their heart is removed from their body and kept separate from it, the body will start to die. Of course, with the Vialakhen's keeping that secret hidden, nobody really knows how to kill her.
02. NAIVETE~
Because Rhode doesn't know about many of the items we all take for granted -- like computers, utensils, musical instruments, or even books -- she is rather naive about the daily lives of the normal person. She doesn't know anything about people's personalities, not even her own, and how different each person is compared to another, so she tends to misjudge people and believe that everyone is a good person.
03. ZETAZALEA~
Though Rhode doesn't know it yet, Zetazalea's consciousness and memories still live inside of her. However, since Zeta's is a soul that went to death peacefully and doesn't want to come back, every time Rhode is confronted with something from Zeta's past, her humanity overwhelms the other genetics and her powers go haywire, usually to disastrous consequences.
04. TRUSTING~
Rhode is way too trusting for her own good, especially when she goes and thinks that everyone is a good person and no one is bad.
05. FOLLOWING ORDERS~
Possibly the hardest thing for her to do is follow orders, especially now that she's starting to come around and have her own personality and not just be a simple minded tool. The only thing she's doing it for is so that she doesn't get hurt, which she remembers all too well how horrible her "masters" can be.[/ul]
goals~ to eventually get away from the government and become her own person
secrets~ she's become her own person
overall personality~
It's hard to pin her down, really, seeing as how Rhode is supposed to be a "mindless pawn," and people don't expect her to actually have a heart or a personality or anything. She has her own heart and mind, though; she really just hasn't had much reason to use it, as the only interaction she ever has is from master to weapon. She lives up to people's expectations of a living weapon on the outside: a cold gaze, ruthless, and unafraid. On the inside, however, she's slowly started to awaken over the three thousand years she's been alive. She can't let anyone know that she is starting to break their mental conditioning, and so she pretends to still be their willing slave. However, she's starting to move with her own will, instead of just going on as ordered.[/li][li]Rhode: Awakening
She's a compassionate and caring individual, with a ravenous appetite for knowledge and new things. Having lost her memories of being human, she doesn't understand what a lot of the things in her surroundings are, knowing nothing other than what was essential for her to be a weapon. As such, little things like table manners and reading were never introduced to her, and to this day she doesn't know what they are. Underneath the cold, outer facade, she's rather soft and squishy, and because of this, she doesn't let too many people in. She doesn't know what it feels like to want to protect someone just yet, but eventually, she'll be at her most fearsome when those she cares about are in danger. She's spent over three thousand years as a weapon -- and this weapon is rather trigger-happy when disturbed.

history~Rhodantaurael started out as a human child, and so, to properly recount Rhode's history, one would need to explain just how she came to be. The human child was a girl by the name of Zetazalea Briallen, a beautiful child with so many different talents: she could sing, she could make music, she could draw. However, she was a rather lonely girl, as her parents were always gone from her life, leaving her to live by herself throughout the day and coming back home at night after she'd gone to sleep. As such, she became rather independent, and her parents let her make most of her own decisions from an early age. She didn't really have much of a childhood, but she didn't really mind it.
A genetics lab approached Zeta's parents, asking for their daughter to use in experiments. They didn't really care, seeing as how they didn't really interact with her much anyway, but she adamantly refused. Why would she let them do things to her body? They tried to give her family money, as they were dirt poor and had to live off the street. Still, she refused, seeing it as not worth it. They pursued her, however, and she had to run away in order to make sure they didn't catch her. It was during this phase of her life that she met Leon.
Leon was a beautiful boy, both in body and in heart. He was considerate, loving, and he cared for her like no one else had previously. It was with him that Zeta discovered the potency of love, and how it could blind someone to everything else in their life. When Leon found out about the fact that she was being hunted by the lab, he helped her to escape them, going on the run with her. Their adventures lasted for quite a few years, and Zeta grew into a fine young woman with Leon at her side.
Of course, all good things must come to an end, and Zeta's relationship with Leon was no different. The reason Leon loved her came to light in the worst way possible: when they'd gone back to Zeta's parents' house to announce that Zeta and Leon were engaged, he tried to kill her. Zeta had to fight back, if only to survive, and Leon used her mother and father as shields. Zeta, while meaning to hurt Leon, killed them instead, and then took her rage and pain out on Leon, brutally murdering him. The genetics lab came and found her there, standing in a pool of blood, and they asked her if she wanted to come with them now. Distraught and on the verge of a mental breakdown, she agreed to be experimented on, and was taken away to the lab.
The only thing she could think about while locked up and being prepped for the experiments was what she'd done. She'd killed her parents, killed her love, and all she wanted to do was die. She knew about the experiments they were doing to people, that they were turning people into horrible creatures, and they would most likely die from the experiments. Whenever Zeta looked at herself, at her bloodstained hands, she saw a monster looking back at her. And so... it was only fitting that she'd become one. With those being her last thoughts, Zeta's consciousness receded into the very depths of her being, allowing another consciousness to take over.
Rhode's part of the story begins after the experiments had been completed. She woke to bright lights and a nurse at her bedside. Upon the later mental examinations, they found that Zeta's consciousness hadn't resurfaced to take control of the body, and that the newly christened Rhodantaurael didn't remember anything. With that, they started feeding her false memories. She was told what she was -- the planet's savior -- and that she had powers she'd need to relearn how to use. She was then brought to the training field, where they taught her how to use her powers. With that, the lab handed her over to the planet's government, and she's been serving it faithfully for over three thousand years.[/blockquote]
