Yo, Jonathan here.
I came here from Pluto
and I joined because Phips would kill me if I didn’t.
I've circled the sun 15 times.
About half of one of them have been spent roleplaying.
I have 0 other characters.
Rules? Of course I've read the rules; here's proof: glowsticks.

birth name~Annie Marie Wilkes Dugan
nicknames~Annie, Goddess, Dragon Lady
age && date of birth~April 1st, 1943
gender~female
species~human
sexuality~straight
occupation~ex nurse, serial killer
face claim~Kathy Bates
fandom~Misery
canon / original~canon
hair color~brown
eye color~blue
height~5’3
weight~180 pounds
distinctive features~Annie is overweight but has a large muscle percentage. She contains the strength of a construction worker nut the size of a wrestler. Just looking at her gives people a frightened feeling, Annie always looks depressed unless she is reading Misery.
general appearance~Annie, being an ex-nurse, has always had a sense for simple clothing. She lives in the country-side therefore she has an old-fashion-look to her. She wears the wool pinafore dresses as she tends to Paul Sheldon. When she goes out, she wears large cardigans and wool skirts. On the farm, she will return to simple wear and wear flannel shirts and jeans. All of Annie’s outfits but her farming outfit resembles something of what a nurse at that time will wear.
Living alone most her life, she had not picked up styles from the town being that there was only a small population where she lived. Annie’s hair was brown and short. As some say, it almost resembles a child’s haircut. Her hair went down to her shoulders then slightly down her back giving a western look to her.
Annie has committed many murders throughout the past thirty years but hides it with a cunning smile.
likes~
02. Paul Sheldon~ Here is where Paul Sheldon’s mistake occurred, he made a fantastic series of novels that psychos could relate to. Annie, being a psychotic monster, fell in love with the author of all times in her mind. If only Paul used his intelligence to write children books, then he wouldn’t be in this disaster. Annie Wilkes has loved Paul ever since the first novel of Misery came out. When she got ahold of him after the car accident, she became one of the happiest people on Earth until, well, I will tell you later. Every second she spent with Paul increased her love for him. This quickly put in his mind that he needed to get away as quick as possible.
03. Ice cream~No one in the town will every acknowledge Annie so she becomes very depressed. Because of all the court sessions she has been through, everyone in town is even afraid of the poor girl. This poor connection between her and the rest of the world has caused to become overly distressed. Like any other American would do, she decided to heal her pain with no more than food. This began the long period of ice cream in her life When Paul visited the entire household one day, he came upon many empty cartons of ice cream through the living room. Day after day, Annie would eat two to three cartoons of ice cream eventually leading her to her obesity. If you happen to run into her someday, don’t be fooled by her size, because if you not careful, she can kill you in an instant.
04. Misery~Misery, also known as Annie’s pet pig, has been named after Annie’s favorite character in the series. For most people, Misery seems like quite an odd animal to have as a household pet. To Annie, Misery is just like any other pet that people have on farms.
05. Bossie~Annie shows her love for Bossie when she passes away by giving Bossie, her cow, an appropriate burial. She digs up a grave and buries the corpse in the back yard. Annie then carries a cross to the front of the house when she bumps into someone. [/ul]
dislikes~
02. Paul Sheldon~Well, let's think about this for a moment: He tried to kill her. He stole her knife. He fished through her house. Not to mention he ruined her favorite book series. Not like he was the author or anything. Yeah, he's a brilliant writer; but that was crossing a very unforgivable line right there.
03. Ralph Dugan~Annie is a woman and Ralph was once married to her. It doesn't take a genius to figure out where things went wrong here. Especially considering that he was a physical therapist who decided that he was going to leave her because she was "mentally cruel". Of course Annie isn't mentally cruel. She's only a psychotic murderer. Moron.
04. Pain and suffering~Annie can't stand watching others suffer in pain, and so that's probably why being a NURSE probably wasn't her true calling in life. All things aside, many of her murders were committed to put people out of their misery. The only problem with that was that some of them were content to go through a bit of pain in the hospital and then GET BETTER AND GO HOME TO THEIR PAIN-FREE NOT DEAD LIVES.
05. Fast Cars~This is Paul Sheldon’s worst book, in Annie's not so humble opinion because she's a bit of a prude, well a major prude, and prudes don’t' like books with excessive cussing and illegal content. [/ul]
habits~
02. Farming~ Since moving to the farm, Annie's picked up this habit. Her house is kind of boring and she can't exactly get hired by any hospitals given her, uh, terrifying reputation, so she goes out and farms.
03. Reading~ Annie's always been in love with romance novels, and then of course, Obsessed with the series Misery. Until that book came out reading was probably her healthiest habit to pass the time, but all good things come to an end
04. Making enemies~ Murderer or no, Annie just isn't a very likable person. And the fact that she's an alleged killer certainly hasn't helped that case any. Since her release from prison people of the town began avoiding her at all cost, suspicions outweighing the fact that she was actually cleared of any charges.
05. Eat ice cream~ Again, typical American behavior here. When Annie's upset she eats. And she likes ice cream. Seeing as Annie isn't exactly a bucket full of happiness and sunshine at the best of times, this is another frequent. Every murder she commits makes her more depressed, and considering we need more than two peoples hands full of fingers to figure out how many people she's killed, you can figure she's had more than enough ice cream in her life.[/ul]
strengths~
02. Medical history~ After both spending years in school to obtain her nursing degree and working some time in hospitals, Annie certainly isn't stupid when it comes to ways of the human body. In fact, she's actually very educated. Her medical knowledge proves both an asset for hurting and healing people, and she can better, from a technical standpoint, identify others pain and misery.
03. Resourceful~ Though she seems to work at a haste, Annie is actually very good at planning and making the most with what she has at hand. Her home in the countryside proved the perfect place to keep Paul so that no one would hear him scream, and al of her weapons were tools used around the farm and in the home.
04. She does not fear death~ For all Annie is frantic and certrain about, she really doesn't have any problem with throwing herself in front of deaths doorstep.
05. Quick-minded~ Annie is very good at thinking on the spot and improvising. From the persepective of someone that appreciates a good torture, she's quite creative, and she usually doesn't have to put much thought in to it. Saving herself from the law is second nature by now, and she's masteered the act of weird old sweet cat lady. At least, enough that the idiot cops of Sidewinder can't see through.
[/ul]
weaknesses~
02. Hides when upset~ When Annie is scared, upset, depressed, or in some way vulmerable, she retreats; one of the many reasons she transfers much of her energy into an (often unreasonable) anger. She's like a child when things don't go her way. Rather than accepting it, she either hides in the corner and sulks or makes things go her way (which surprise surprise; results occasionally uin death).
03. Not sociable~ Aniie really doesn't have any social skills; she's isolated herself from the public from such a long time. She only knows how to cover for herself, and not how to really handle a normal conversation with someone who's.. normal.
04. Not modern~ Well first and foremost, before the dimensional collision Annie was in a world more than twenty years prior to the present day. And even then, she could never be described as someone who kept up with the times. Her style and culture showed easily how long she's spent in isolation, and though she could get away with her strange ways in her world, here she won't have that much luck.
05. Frightening~ Possibly something that led Annie to where she is today; even as a nurse, there was always something about her demeanor that seemed to intimidate people around her, and it's as much as a weakness as a strength when you're trying to look inconspicuous in a new world.[/ul]
goals~Not get caught by the police!
secrets~She sort of has a man locked up in basement for torment but it’s not like that’s a big deal or anything.
overall personality~ As I am sure you can put together, Annie is a psychological b-----. She also has a temper problem, as in if you make her mad, she will try and kill you. Her childhood definitely had a huge effect on Annie’s life and that is probably the reason why she has a problem with children in pain. Although it is not specified in the book, Annie most likely suffered from childhood abuse causing her to fear the memories of pain. This made her temperamental so if you are smart, don’t try and attack her!
home town~Bakersfield, California
current residence~Sidewinder, Colorado
parents~Carl Wilkes(father), Crysilda Wilkes(mother)
siblings~Paul Emery Wilkes(brother)
pets~Misery(pig), Bossie(cow), Peter Gunn(cat)
family~not spoken of.
history~Annie Wilkes, born in Bakersfield, California on April 1, 1943, began her life as a nurse. She attended University of Southern California for quite a few years and graduated in 1966. Right after college, she began working as a nurse traveling over parts of the country. During this long period began her psychotic emotions. Her symptoms were being unable to handle patients in pain. You could see how this did not work out very well since the environment she worked in was a hospital! It started off with the poor defenseless newborn infants. Any infant with a disorder would be found dead the next day. This was because of Annie’s sorrow for the baby’s pain. Truthfully, she is just creating more pain for the parents. This continued for weeks until the authorities were called in. This has worked well for her for she is not in prison. The authorities only had a hunch to prove Annie guilty; there was no proof to back up the people’s opinion therefore leaving the judge to conclude that these “incidents” were merely accidents. With a new start on her hands, Annie planned to erase all memories of her as a mass murder thus settling in as a new farm town girl. The unexplainable deaths “died down” a bit, or at least for then. Annie was so well on hiding her tracks that all people could book her for was the suspicion of how crazy she was. To Annie’s judge, calling her crazy wasn’t going to cut it. Annie was then released from hold and vanished from California. Given a fresh new start, Annie continued her psychotic rampage, this time with adults. Annie settles in a small farm at Sidewinder, Colorado. She begins her laid back life until she meets this man named Ralph Dugan. At first, he seemed like this really nice artist, and right away, they become true lovers. As time went on, Ralph would go off every day to paint pictures of nature n its natural form. One day, Annie passes by his book of drawings and finds out that they are just a bunch of scribbled happy faces! This made her furious; she continued to look into it and find out that Ralph is just some lying scum. This was the last straw. She murdered him and washed him off in the bathtub, and then sent him and his car down a fast river leading away from her house. This murder was not blamed on her and she slide by. What an idiot he was, deciding to drive home from Colorado to New York after drinking for a couple hours. You could just guess what he did next. Through the midnight storm, Paul Sheldon missed a turn driving down the mountains and crashed into a tree. He wished more than anything to be on that plane he booked the night before. Time passed by, he remained paralyzed, until a women appeared out of the forest and assisted him out of the wreckage. By this point, he was already unconscious. The next morning came around quickly, and you know what he woke up to, he woke up to a giant nurse whispering that she was his biggest fan. Scary, right. Eventually he stirred and found out that the person carrying for him was none other than Annie Wilkes, of course, at this point he had no idea that this was a psychotic murderer. Annie slowly began to heal Paul back to life, though this might have not been blessing. At last, the final book of Paul Sheldon’s series, Misery, hit the market. Annie ran back home to the still injured Paul and told him the good news. Paul sarcastically said it was great news but was more interested in getting out of this Hell! After about a month, Annie completed the book and walked into Paul’s bedroom, or as he called it, his prison cell. The second she caught his eyes, she pounded on his broken knees causing him to have screeched in pain. She explained how it was inacceptable to have killed off Misery, INACCEPTIABLE! Annie thought it over and decided that he was to write a sequel to the Misery series bringing Misery back to life. Paul obeyed because he knew either he or Misery would survive or both of them would die! Soon after this incident occurred, Annie decided to go off to her happy place for a day and think over what had happened. During this time, Paul decided to stroll around the house. Being in a wheel chair, he could not go very far. He first found out that Annie was a psychotic murder; it’s not like that scared him, and then tried to escape. This did not work out for him due to the fact that he was in a wheel chair and that everything was boarded up. After viewing the kitchen, he decided that the only way to escape was to kill Annie. Paul took one of the knives and hides it under his bed. The next morning when Annie returned, things didn’t go as planned. Annie found the knife under his bed and assumed he was going to try and kill her. This struck the last straw and she relocated Paul to the basement of the house. It was cold and damp with weapons around the walls. It wasn’t the welcoming sign he expected. If you haven’t noticed that I am drawing to an end because of the few lines I have left, well then, you should because now I am caught up.
rp sample~ In the middle of Sidewinder, Colorado, Annie Wilkes was sitting in her living room staring motionless at the wall next to her. It had been a long month for her and with what Paul Sheldon, the person she was caring for, attempted to do yesterday, it was just too much for her to handle. She thought about how it all started when Paul idiotically drove down the snowy mountains of Colorado right after he had been drinking for more than an hour. His car continued to pick up speed on the icy road and out of nowhere, a turn appeared causing Paul to drive off the track and flip over stopping once the vehicle hit a tree.
Annie was taking her annual hike through the woods when she came upon Paul’s flipped car. She rushed to the person’s aid when she noticed he was unconscious. Pulling him out of the car, she saw the person’s wallet fall out of his back pocket. She gently placed the man on the side door and opened the wallet to his ID. The named appeared as Paul Sheldon. She couldn’t believe it, the person unconscious right next to her was the one and only author of the best time selling Misery novels.
She had a decision to make, take him to the hospital a couple blocks down or carry him back up to her farm. Thinking that she wanted to spend as much time with him, she began walking up the mountain with Paul hanging over her shoulder. Two time consuming hours it took to get to the top of the mountain to Annie’s household. When she unlocked the front door, she walked through and turned left into a guest’s room. Slowly putting Paul down, she immediately obtained a smile on her face.
Annie stood up from her chair, with a terrified look on her face. Slowly, she moved toward her bookshelf next to the door and found the last book of the Misery series. Annie picked it up with a gentle hand and continued frowning about what happened after she brought Paul back to health. Annie was overly excited when she returned home with the new copying of the last Misery book. Paul promised not to ruin anything about the ending and Annie sat down in the living room and began to read. After about a week, she walked into Paul’s room looking more depressed than ever. She accused Paul of being a murderer after killing the protagonist in Misery, whom Annie began to grow on.
This infuriated Annie and she left Paul for a couple days. After returning, she seemed to have calmed down a bit and told Paul that he must revive Misery. Paul would have rejected except for the fact that Annie would have slit his throat. The pain of this event made Annie return to herself and she through the book across the rom. She began the walk towards the basement where Paul was being held now.
Annie stopped for a moment to relax on the hallway wall. As she did so, she thought about how Paul recently tried to murder her. Annie just returned home and found out that one of her knives was missing. She searched for about an hour but she couldn’t find it. She walked into Paul’s room to see how he was doing when she saw it! The tip of her missing knife was sticking out of Paul’s mattress. Without waking him, she slipped the knife out of the bed. An hour later when Paul arose, she showed the knife to him and he began to plea for his life. She decided that he could not be trusted.
She grabbed her axe and blowtorch and walked in a slow pattern back to the guest room. She could hear Paul screaming for mercy but her mind was set. She raised the axe and with a quick swipe, she sliced of Paul’s foot. She then picked up the blowtorch and burnt the open wound that way Paul would not die of blood loss. She repeated the steps on Paul’s other foot. This whole time, Paul was crying and screaming. By the time it was over, Paul was unconscious.
The simple sound of a knock brought Annie back to her senses. Without hesitation, she darted to the basement to warn Paul not to make a sound. Without bothering to turn on the lights, she ran down the wooden steps leading into a small room with a bed, a furnace, and a few tools leaning against the wall. From the basement, Annie could hear the door being bashed opened. Annie reached for the sledgehammer and waited patiently for the victim.
As the victim slowly walked down the stairs, Annie raised the sledgehammer waiting to attack. As soon as she heard the last step creak, she swung with all her might hitting the victim in the right thigh. Annie backed away as the victim restored to his normal strength. Calming down, she thought of the opponent as a weakling and assumed that this fight would end quickly. She waited having no idea what the opponent would attempt next!
